The Medical University of Lodz , priorly the Medical Academy of Lodz is the largest public medical university in Poland and has been offering English taught programmes since 2003. The facilities include 6 research institutes and 7 teaching hospitals. The vice dean of the Medical School states, ‘with a rigorous core of courses across the basic and medical sciences, the academic staff of the Medical Faculty encourages student inquiry and research.” As such, the Medical University of Lodz is considered one of the major medical research centres in Poland. The student body includes over 900 international students and their English programmes have seen 600 students successfully graduate.
