Study Medicine in Debrecen
Founded in 1538, the University of Debrecen is the oldest university in Hungary. It offers 80 programmes in English including medicine. The medical school was opened in 1918 and now consists of 47 departments. The degrees are accredited by the WHO, the State Education Department (NY, USA) and the General Medical Council (UK) amongst others. Some of the areas of study include clinical chemistry, internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, radiology, neurology and cardiology amongst many others. The Faculty of Medicine became an independent University Medical School under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in 1951.
